Three Arrested After High Speed Chase in Valley

WHITE DEER TOWNSHIP, UNION COUNTY – The Standard Journal is reporting… Three people from Brooklyn, N.Y., have been charged with multiple counts after a vehicle they were traveling in allegedly fled from state police, at times reaching speeds near 125 mph.

The driver of the vehicle, Keston Ogbermudia, has been charged with fleeing or attempting to elude, offensive weapons, drug possession, careless driving, reckless driving, and numerous traffic offenses. Two passengers have also been charged, Sahmik Padgett, Jaylen Taylor, all are 18, they’re charged with weapons offenses and drug possession.

The pursuit happened Jan. 29 on I-80 west in White Deer Township, Union County. Troopers say the windows were tinted too dark and they tried to stop the car. The car then took the Route 147 exit ramp, traveling from there to the Industrial Park Road exit, drove erratically, evading one PIT maneuver but was stopped after a second attempt.

Troopers say the three suspects were taken from the vehicle without incident and found to be in possession of numerous packets of marijuana, and brass knuckles.

According to online court records, Ogbemudia is locked up in the Union County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail. Padgett and Taylor were both jailed in lieu of $10,000 bail each, according to online court records.
