The Valley gets involved in a national movement

LEWISBURG — CommUnity Zone of Lewisburg is hosting the Solidarity/Stop the Hate Rally Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 6pm at Hufnagle Park with the rain location being at the Greenspace Center.

The national rallies began in 1999 after the hate crimes and killings of James Byrd and Matthew Shepard made national headlines. The entire community is invited to this rally. For more information please go to CommunityZone.org.

The Solidarity March/Stop the Hate gatherings are part of a national calling for people to act nonviolently as agents of healing in their communities and to speak out for victims of hatred and intimidation. (Christopher Elio)
