The Susquehanna River Symposium is coming up

SUNBURY – If you’re interested in our great Susquehanna River, then the upcoming Susquehanna River Symposium is the event for you.  This annual event is coming up, Friday October 26, and Saturday October 27 at Bucknell University.

Ben Hayes, Chairman of the 2018 Symposium, “The goal of the symposium is to simply cultivate knowledge, discovery, and stewardship, for the benefits of the Susquehanna River and the citizens, especially in the Central Valley.”

Sean Reese is a project scientist, and he was on WKOK Sunrise talking about what kind knowledge we can get from the Symposium, “Ben mentioned the poster session with a lot of the student research that was going on this summer from the host Universities. There’s a range in topics from emerging contaminants to geologic studies, engineering studies and a lot of biological studies.”

The Symposium will be held on Friday October 26 and Saturday October 27 at the Elaine Langone Center on the campus of Bucknell University. The event is open and free to the public. For more information, visit Bucknell.edu/riversymposium.
