The ‘superload’ starts at the Susquehanna Rail Works south of Sunbury, move up Route 147, cross the Veteran’s Memorial Bridge, and move to the power plant construction site. It will be the first of about a dozen large loads moving that route.

The trip from Lower Augusta Township to Hummels Station is expected to occur Thursday between 10 p.m and 2 am (Friday), with estimated offload between 2 a.m and 4 a.m. Then the large motorized carrier will return to Susquehanna Rail Works via the same route between 4 a.m and 6 a.m.

Closed, will be Route 147 from Susquehanna Rail Works to the City of Sunbury, the Route 147 bridge south of Sunbury, the ramps for the Veterans Memorial Bridge, the bridge itself, and the bridge over Routes 11 & 15.
