The local leader of Transitions has been honored by the state house

HARRISBURG – In Harrisburg recently, the state house honored the leader of the regional group Transitions. State house members said Susan Mathias, the CEO of Transitions, based in Lewisburg, has done an exemplary job working to end sexual violence.

Mathias was honored on the floor of the house along with the leader of the state’s Victim Intervention Program and the head of the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape. The head of that coalition, Michelle Minor Wolf, said Susan Mathias has dedicated her life to helping victims of sexual assault and implementing prevention programs.

Mathias said the amazing Transitions staff makes it possible for her leadership to be effective, she said they, “Do the hard work with victims and survivors 24-7, and they are focusing on prevention programs in schools.”  Since 2013, Mathias has been CEO of Transitions of PA, which is a comprehensive victim and family advocacy, support and education agency.
