WINFIELD – A 16-year-old girl will be charged in juvenile court for allegedly assaulting state troopers. State police say they were called to a home on Albert Boulevard in Winfield on Monday for a report of a domestic assault.
Troopers say a 16-year-old girl was accused of assaulting a 37-year-old woman at the home. When they arrived, the girl allegedly assaulted the troopers by kicking, hitting and spitting on them. She was arrested and taken to Geisinger Medical Center for a mental health evaluation. Charges of aggravated assault are pending. (Ali Stevens)
