MILTON – A teachers’ aide charged with sexually assaulting students from Lewisburg High School has been fired by the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit. The Daily Item reports the CSIU’s operating board voted 12-0 to terminate Chelsea Lorson effective immediately.
Lorson was arrested February 24 and charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, corruption of minors and other counts. On February 6, Lorson allegedly confessed to an acquaintance that she was involved in a sexual relationship with a student under 18 and also had sex with a student under 16.
Lorson was suspended and now the CSIU board has terminated her employment. Lorson is free on bail with a preliminary hearing set for March 24. (Ali Stevens)
