LEWISBURG – A former Valley teacher has been arrested for invasion of student privacy. 39-year-old Justin Hill was arrested Monday by Buffalo Valley Regional Police charged with 31 misdemeanor counts of invasion of privacy and tampering with evidence.
Police say Hill took between 15 and 20 videos of female students as they went up stairs in an effort to get shots of their underwear. Hill’s wife, Danielle, discovered the videos on his phone June 21, 2016. When confronted by his wife, Hill deleted the videos from his phone.
Justin Hill met with Lewisburg Area School District superintendent, Dr. Mark DiRocco on June 22 and told him about the videos. Hill claimed he had been taking video since October 2015.
Hill resigned in June as Lewisburg Area High School’s band director. The school district is holding a meeting for parents in the district tonight at 6 p.m. in the high school auditorium. We will bring you more details as they become available.
