Ta-Ta Trot participants Jess Clark and Maxine Querry ready to start the 2014 race  in Sunbury.

SELINSGROVE — The Ta-Ta Trot is coming to Selinsgrove.  The annual event that has been held in Sunbury for the past five years will be at the Selinsgrove High School this year.  The Ta-Ta Trot benefits Evangelical Community Hospital’s Thyra M. Humphrey’s Center for Breast Health, Geisinger’s Marie Lamey Fund and the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coaltion.

 

This event has grown from 62 trotters and $3,787 in profits in 2010, to 2,678 trotters and $157,699 in profits in 2014.  Attendance for the July 11 event is expected to surpass 3,000.

 

Pre-registration for the 5K Run/Walk  is open until midnight on July 5.  Pre-registration is $25 for teens and adults, and $15 for kids.  Performance T-shirts are included in the registration fee for those who pre-register.  Opening ceremonies kick-off at 7:30a.m. and the race kicks off at 8:30a.m. July 11.  Packet pickup and day of registration will be open until 7:15a.m.  You can find more details at www.tatatrot.com.  (Codi Jade)
