WILLIAMSPORT – A local health system may soon have a new partner. Susquehanna Health announced Thursday they intend to pursue an affiliation with University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC).
Susquehanna Health has been exploring partnership opportunities to expand healthcare options in The Valley. Steven Johnson, President and CEO of Susquehanna Health says, “Looking ahead to the changing healthcare environment of the future, we see great opportunities to combine the strength of both organizations to improve the health and well-being of our region.”
While the two health systems work toward a definitive agreement, nothing will change for patients, employees and physicians at Susquehanna Health.
