SUNBURY — Adventure awaits this Saturday, August 2, as the Susquehanna Greenway Partnership hosts its annual Greenway Expo from 10am to 3pm at the Shikellamy State Park Marina.
This free, family-friendly event brings together more than 50 exhibitors and organizations to celebrate outdoor recreation, environmental education, and community connection along the Susquehanna Greenway.
Attendees can explore a wide array of booths featuring local outfitters, conservation groups, trail associations, outdoor clubs, and environmental educators. Vendors will offer expert advice, gear demonstrations, and firsthand activities for all ages, from wildlife tracking to kayak fitting.
Featured organizations include the Middle Susquehanna Riverkeeper Association and the Vernal School Environmental Education Partnership, who will offer interactive displays and information about river health, water quality, and opportunities to get involved in local stewardship efforts.
The Education Tent will host a full slate of presentations throughout the day. Topics include canal history, paddling the full length of the Susquehanna, nature photography, and environmental conservation. Visitors can also join in clinics and demos on fly fishing, rock climbing, disc golf, mountain biking, paddle safety, and more.
Food vendors will be on-site, and visitors are encouraged to bring water, sunscreen, and curiosity. Whether you’re a lifelong outdoor enthusiast or just starting to explore the region’s natural beauty, the Susquehanna Greenway Expo offers something for everyone.
