SUNBURY – Another death is being attributed to heroin overdose in Northumberland County. James Kelley, Northumberland County Coroner says a 28-year-old male was pronounced dead at 10:35a.m Tuesday at a home on South Second Street in Sunbury.
Kelley says evidence at the scene indicates the death may be from a possible heroin overdose. This death marks the eleventh in 2016 from drug overdoses. The drugs include heroin, prescription medications or a combination of both.
Kelley along with Northumberland County President Judge Charles Saylor will be holding a roundtable discussion of the overdose crisis on Friday at 10:30a.m in the Northumberland County courthouse.
