MONTOURSVILLE — A super load will move through Union and Snyder counties Thursday night. The 600,000 pound module will move from a rail siding in Winfield, Union County, to the Hummel Station power plant in Shamokin Dam.
The travel route will be from Route 15 in Winfield, to Routes 11/15 in the Shamokin Dam Borough, before crossing North Old Trail Road into Hummel Station.
This trip is scheduled to occur between 10 p.m Thursday and 6 a.m. Friday. The super load will be traveling through construction zones during the move. If a traffic backlog would develop, the load will pull off the roadway to allow traffic to pass.
