The Daily Item reports a Sunbury woman has pleaded guilty to felony involuntary manslaughter following the death of a 1-year-old child in July of 2024. 43-year-old Amanda Walton plead guilty as part of a plea agreement to have a charge of endangering the welfare of children dropped. The newspaper reports police responded to Walton’s home in the 300 block of South 4th Street and found an unresponsive infant. Police say Walton found the child in the corner of the couch with their head under a pillow. The newspaper reports she woke up on the couch to find the infant not breathing. Walton faces up to 10 years in prison when she is sentenced.
