SUNBURY — A heavy police presence in Sunbury Thursday afternoon was tied to a mental health incident that began as a medical call. The situation started around 3pm near a home on Pine Street and drew officers and emergency responders to the area. Police closed part of Pine and Second streets as the response unfolded.
Authorities say the call evolved into a mental health concern and was safely resolved around 9pm. There is no ongoing threat to the public. No further information has been released.
