Sunbury man charged in Lewisburg stabbing

attempted homicideLEWISBURG — A Sunbury man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a man in Lewisburg.  The Daily Item reports 29-year-old James Manning of Sunbury is accused of breaking into a home on North Fourth Street and stabbing his former wife’s new boyfriend.

 

The incident allegedly took place on August 3 around 2 a.m.  Buffalo Valley Regional Police say Manning broke into the apartment and stabbed the man in the side with a four-inch knife.  Manning was jailed on $150,000 bail.   He is also charged with attempted voluntary manslaughter, aggravated assault, burglary, criminal trespass and several other counts.  (Ali Stevens)
