Sunbury cop injured in crash

FEAT_ACCIDENT_GENERIC1ROCKEFELLER TOWNSHIP – A Sunbury police officer was injured in a Sunday morning crash in Northumberland County. State police at Stonington say Sergeant Jim Taylor was riding his motorcycle on Route 890 near Hallowing Run Road at 6:30 a.m. Sunday morning when a deer jumped into the roadway.

 

The deer impacted the motorcycle on the left side and police say Taylor suffered injuries to his left leg. He was transported to Geisinger Medical Center by Americus EMS. Stonington Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
