SUNBURY – The former Sunbury National Guard Armory was built in 1937 to serve military services…now its going to be a home for senior citizens. The sale of the armory was finalized Wednesday, plans are to turn it into a home of a senior living center.
The property in Upper Augusta Township was sold for $140,000 to Z&Z Limited Partnership, owned by Bob Zimmerman of Zimmerman Motors. Construction of the building should begin early in 2018. The 23,000 square foot facility sits on 10 acres of land.
