NEW BERLIN– For students interested in learning more about trade schools, a great opportunity is coming up next week. The SUN Area Technical Institute in New Berlin is hosting an open house next Wednesday, October 4, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visitors will learn about their 18 programs, evening and day classes, adult and undergraduate programs, industry certifications, available college credits, and other aspects of the school.
Doug Bertanzetti, Assistant Director, says that the open house provides a great opportunity for people to come out and see what SUN Tech is all about, “The open house is really a good opportunity for really anybody to come out, community members come out, anybody that’s interested in what we’re doing out there wanting to see the new renovations and the new facility we have. Of the instructors and students will be there to talk about the programs. We’ll industry folks out there in the hallways and in the programs also to talk about industry and the jobs that are out there. A really good opportunity for folks to come out.”
Bertanzetti also talked about the SUN Tech Education Foundation and how it helps out students”They’ve offered to help with uniforms and certifications. We offer tons of certifications at the school and some of them cost, a lot of them cost money. A lot of them cost a lot of money. So the foundation kicks in and helps out.”
