FREEBURG – A local state representative will be using the Freeburg Community Center to have office hours. Representative Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-108th, Sunbury) said the office will begin hosting monthly office hours in Freeburg on the first Thursday of each month from 10 to noon.
The first day will be this Thursday, April 2. Culver said this is a new monthly outreach in Snyder County to meet the needs of the residents.
This is in response to legislative redistricting taking effect this year. Every 10 years, the legislature is constitutionally required to define new district boundaries to reflect population changes recorded in the census data. Changes for Schlegel Culver’s 108th District now include Chapman, Union and Washington Townships in Snyder County and the Freeburg Borough. (Ali Stevens)
