UNDATED – PennLive is reporting… Heading to the local post office to ship a few packages this weekend?  Well, plan on spending a little bit more than you did a year ago. Starting Sunday — Jan. 21 — stamp prices will increase from 66 cents to 68 cents.

But the Postal Service won’t be asking you to dig a little deeper into your billfold for stamps only.  When it announced the changes back in December it also noted other rate hikes beginning on Jan. 21.

Those changes include:

5.4% increase for USPS Ground Advantage service

5.7% increase for Priority Mail service

5.9% increase for Priority Mail Express service

That November announcement also noted that the Postal Service is “seeking pricing adjustments for Special Services products including Post Office Box rental fees and some international mail services that includes Registered Mail and International Mail insurance.”
