SUNBURY— You can take a candle lit tour of Fort Augusta this weekend. You can enjoy a historical, Halloween walk with the Northumberland County Historical Society Saturday from 6 to 8:30 pm at its headquarters at 1150 N Front Street in Sunbury.
The tours will begin at the museum’s Fort Augusta exhibit which features a variety of artifacts. Reenactors will be dressed in 18th-century period clothing and escort visitors to several areas on the fort’s property.
This event is free and open to the public and there will be light refreshments served in the society’s research library and meeting room. For more information of the lantern tours contact the historical society at 570-286-4083. (Sarah Benek)
