MIDDLEBURG– Mosquitoes carrying the West Nile Virus are a concern in the Valley, and some spraying is set for Tuesday. The Snyder County West Nile Program is conducting an ultra-low volume mosquito control operation to reduce the amount of mosquitoes capable of transmitting West Nile virus in Monroe Township, Snyder County.
Trucks will spray residential and recreational areas. They say the product they spray gives effective control of adult mosquito populations and presents very little threat to mammals, other insects, and the environment. For more information visit www.westnile.state.pa.us
