BEAVERTOWN – One escapee from a Snyder County facility is in custody. 32-year-old Sean Beam was arraigned Monday on felony escape charges almost three weeks after he and another inmate walked away from the Conewago Snyder facility in Beavertown. Beam was located in Williamsport and is now in the Snyder County prison on $3,500 bail.
24-year-old Stuart Tharp of Karthaus, Huntington County left the facility with Beam September 18 and is still at large. Snyder County district attorney Mike Piecuch would not comment on the search for Tharp. He was serving a 24 month sentence for multiple DUIs. (Jennifer Wakeman)
