UPDATE: Winter Weather Advisory for Valley, frigid temps later this week

SUNBURY – More accumulating snow is in the Valley’s forecast for this week, and that will be followed by more frigid temperatures. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Valley from 1 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. The National Weather Service says the Valley could  see two to four inches of snow.

 

AccuWeather says we can see anywhere from 1-2 inches of snow Tuesday. Snow squalls are also forecast for Wednesday afternoon, which could lead to about another inch of snow.

 

Snow early this week will be followed by extreme cold temperatures for the rest of the week. AccuWeather says we’ll see a low of eight degrees Tuesday night. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday we’ll see highs in the teens and lows below zero.

Today: sunshine. High 33.

Tonight: increasing clouds with snow arriving late. Low 23.

Tomorrow into tomorrow evening: overcast with periods of snow, accumulating 2-4 inches with

slippery travel. High 33. Brisk and turning much colder tomorrow night with wet and slushy

areas freezing solid as temperatures fall through the teens.

Wednesday: clouds and sun, brisk and colder with a few flurries and a heavier squall in the

afternoon. High 16, but afternoon temperatures will fall into the single digits.

Thursday: plenty of sunshine, but brisk and bitterly cold. High near 10.

Friday: clouds and some sun with the chance of flurries. High 19.
