SELINSGROVE — Several volunteer fire companies were called to a smoky fire in Selinsgrove after several large mulch piles caught on fire. The fire was at Hawk’s Landscaping on Route 204 and started just before 5 p.m. Monday.
Crews were on the scene for three hours trying to bring the fire under control. Smoke could be seen for miles while the fire burned. Selinsgrove, Hummels Wharf, Kratzerville, Kreamer, Middleburg, Freeburg and Port Trevorton responded along with Sunbury, Upper Augusta Township and Point Township. (Ali Stevens)
