BLOOMSBURG – Bloomsburg Police identified the man who was found shot in Geisinger-Bloomsburg Hospital’s parking lot Friday as a Monroe County resident.
According to Bloomsburg Police Chief Scott Price, Tyler Brown of Blakeslee was found with several gunshot wounds while he was trying to get to the medical center. State Police have since taken charge of the investigation. Jamey Hebert, who lives in the area said that he was out for a walk Friday evening when he found Brown in the parking lot of the hospital with several gunshot wounds.
Brown was taken to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Bloomsburg Police officers found a car with bullet holes near where the man was found. However, according to a prepared statement, State Police determined Brown was shot in a parking area off Irondale Road, Bloomsburg, and drove himself to the hospital.
Price told the Press Enterprise Friday a little more than an hour after the man was found, police had two crime scenes — the hospital parking lot and another off Irondale Road.
