SUNBURY— The Shikellamy School District is looking at raising the price of their rental fee for district buildings.
Superintendent, Brett Misavage announced at the school board meeting Thursday night, “We are just looking at adding a nominal fee to our building rental form. It’s just to recoup some cost in regards to utilities and paper products that are used. Over the course of the year it added up and we think adding a nominal fee is not asking much for the groups that are renting our buildings.”
The new charge would be an additional $100 for up to 50 people and $200 for over 50 people in a group. The price for a rental varies by room size. Misavage says the charge would cover the cost of electric, paper products and in special cases the cost of having a custodian on for the event. (Sarah Benek)
