SUNBURY — Reports of a suicidal man with a gun led to a lockdown at Shikellamy High School Monday afternoon. Sunbury Police say they were called to the 1000 block of Market Street for a report of a man with a loaded gun in his vehicle. Witnesses believed the man was suicidal.
Police found the vehicle unattended with an empty rifle box inside. Officers received word the man was walking on South Tenth Street toward Chestnut Street. They notified the school and advised a lockdown.
Officers found the man and took him into custody without incident. No weapon was recovered and he was taken to Sunbury Community Hospital for further evaluation.
