PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (WHTM) – An emotional Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro took the stage in Philadelphia in support of Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, after Harris picked Walz over Shapiro to join her campaign hours before.
Shapiro took the stage to a large round of applause at The Liacouras Center at Temple University as one of the several speakers warming up voters ahead of Harris and Walz taking the stage.
“I love being your governor, you all fill my heart and I love you so much,” said Shapiro. The governor told the thousands of people in attendance he will “focus on getting s*** done for all of you,” one of his favorite catchphrases when promoting his policies across the state.

Shapiro hit Harris and Walz’s opponents, Republicans Donald Trump and JD Vance, saying Trump “ripped away the freedom of millions of American women to make decisions over their own bodies, we remember that” after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.
The crowd then chanted “We’re not going back” and Shapiro repeated their chant saying “We’re not going back.”
