COAL TOWNSHIP — The News Item reports Coal Township police have charged a Shamokin woman with aggravated assault after she allegedly assaulted medical staff members at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital on Dec. 26.
39-year-old Megan Pressley was released on bail after her arraignment on Sunday.
Pressley is accused of slapping, pushing and punching nurses in the emergency room. Medical staff members were able to subdue her and contact police. She allegedly shouted profanities in the emergency room before she calmed down.
