SHAMOKIN — Two men were arrested Wednesday for selling heroin in Shamokin. The Daily Item reports police arrested 26-year-old Eric Harding of Shamokin and 25-year-old Quasean Nixon of New Jersey after a confidential informant contacted officers Tuesday, telling them Harding intended to distribute heroin.

Police used the informant to buy drugs from the men. Officers pulled over Harding’s vehicle and found 22 packets of heroin inside. According to court documents, the informant told officers Harding supplied Nixon with the heroin.

Harding and Nixon were taken into custody and charged with felony counts of possession with intent to deliver, criminal conspiracy, and criminal use of communications. They were arraigned before Shamokin District Judge John Gembic and both were sent to jail on $100,000 cash bail.
