SHAMOKIN – A Shamokin man was killed in a motorcycle and train crash in Montour County Monday afternoon. State police say 27-year-old Brian Shifflett did not stop for the railroad crossing signals on Strick Road in Limestone Township and was struck by a train around 4:45 p.m.
Shifflett was thrown from his motorcycle and landed next to the tracks. He was transported to Geisinger Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Shifflett was not wearing a helmet. State police say the investigation continues. (Ali Stevens)
