court-hammer-gavel1-293x220SHAMOKIN – A Shamokin man was sent to prison after he was arraigned on charges related to a convenience store robbery.  District Justice John Gembic’s office tells us 30-year-old Wade Thomas is charged with robbery and theft by unlawful taking for the robbery of the Friendly Choice Food Mart on Sunday.

Thomas was also arraigned on drug possession charges in an unrelated case.   Police say Thomas entered the store in a black mask and grey hoodie and demanded cash, implying that he had a gun.  (Ali Stevens)
