Shamokin Man Charged with Intimidating Man he Shot

SHAMOKIN — A former Shamokin man has been charged with felony intimidation.  The News Item report 35-year-old Akeem Gregory, who is incarcerated in Centre County for attempted homicide, is now accused of intimidating the man he is accused of shooting.  Gregory was charged Wednesday of intimidating Joel Santiago, who he is accused of shooting in February of 2020 at the apartment they shared on East Sunbury Street in Shamokin.  Gregory is accused of approaching Santiago and threatening to go after him if he didn’t testify in court that Gregory was not the person who shot him.  He also allegedly threatened to go after Santiago’s children.
