Shamokin educator runs for commissioner

image_10SHAMOKIN – A retired educator from the Shamokin Area School District would like to be a Northumberland County Commissioner.  Samuel Schiccatano announced his Republican candidacy for commissioner.

 

Schiccatano is a graduate of Shamokin High School and Lycoming College, he taught in the Shamokin Area School District for 37 years and coached numerous sports, including football.

 

Schiccatano lives in Coal Township with his wife and three children.  He says he will work with fellow commissioners, row officers, department heads and county employees and will convey mutual respect in county government if elected.  (Ali Stevens)
