SELINSGROVE — The Selinsgrove Borough Council decided to hold off on reappointing Vincent Stoops as a Parks and Recreation Commission member. Stoops has been working with Parks and Recreation for four years, and his term expired at the end of 2014.
Borough Council member Shane Hendricks made a motion to reappoint Stoops at Monday’s meeting saying Stoops is doing a great job with lots of enthusiasm. Stoops recently caused friction after making allegations towards other council members.
Borough Council member Marvin Rudnitsky says there has to be accountability for Stoops’ conduct, and says he will not vote to appoint Stoops to any board. The board voted 4-3 to table the action for a month.
