SELINSGROVE – Selinsgrove is getting a new police chief. The borough council last night hired their sergeant Francis Petrovich to become the new chief. He’ll take over at the beginning of next month. Sgt. Petrovich worked for Selinsgrove police for more than a decade.
After the vote some council members afterward said they had high hopes he could restore trust in the council, and the police department. He replaces the council’s previous hire who didn’t patrol, never moved to Selinsgrove, and left amid calls for her resignation.
