SELINSGROVE — Without finishing the first year on the job, Selinsgrove Elementary School’s principal has resigned. A letter was sent home to parents letting them know of Jennifer Berry-Propst’s resignation.
Michelle Garman, assistant principal at the elementary school, will serve as acting principal for the remainder of the school year. When asked for comment, Superintendent Chad Cohrs said, ” Having reflected on the matter, it was not a good fit and the parties have worked out a resolution for Principal Berry-Propst’s departure.”
Berry-Propst was hired as Selinsgrove Elementary School principal in August, replacing Terry Heintzelman, who retired after more than 20 years in the district. Berry-Propst served as principal in the Milton School District before her move to Selinsgrove. (Ali Stevens)
