Selinsgrove Business Incubator now open

inc pixSELINSGROVE – Entrepreneurs and start-up companies in the Selinsgrove area have a new opportunity to grow.  Rural Business Innovations manages the Greater Susquehanna KIZ business incubator program, which opened their doors in Selinsgrove Friday.

Selinsgrove Mayor Jeff Reed attended the ribbon cutting ceremony on Market Street, “I was glad to welcome the KIZ Incubator office to town.  It’s a very big plus for the community and hopefully they will see more businesses grow in the downtown community from this.  Business breeds business so I just hope there is more growth in the community.  I would like to see more people shop downtown and local.”

Snyder County Commissioner Peggy Chamberlain Roup was also in attendance, “This KIZ opportunity, this incubator program, is going to develop programs for your kids and my kids. When they graduate, they are going to be looking for jobs, and these jobs could come right here from this incubator in downtown Selinsgrove.  I look forward to their success and I want to work with them to increase the number of businesses and the opportunities here in Selinsgrove.”
