DORNSIFE – The Route 225 bridge in the Dornsife area is now open. PennDOT announced the bridge re-opened Friday after being closed since February when a hit-and-run truck crashed and damaged the span. The re-opening had been delayed several times, mainly due to wet weather.
The bridge needed more than a half million dollars in repairs. The road is a busy connector highway in lower Northumberland County.
