DORNSIFE – A section of Mahantongo Creek Road will be closed this week for construction in Lower Mahanoy Township, Northumberland County. PennDOT says the work will be done between Route 147 and Malta Road and includes the replacement of eight cross pipes to improve drainage.
Mahantongo Creek Road will be closed daily starting Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The work should take about two weeks. A detour will be in place using Route 147, Mountain Road and Malta Road. (Ali Stevens)
