SELINSGROVE – Heavy rains and high winds are having an impact in The Valley:
Rainfall, about 3” in the past 48-hours, measured at Penn Valley Airport, Selinsgrove.
Susquehanna River crest levels are slightly higher than earlier predictions:
-The Middle Atlantic River Forecast Center forecasts the river at Lewisburg will crest at 19 feet today. That is one foot above flood stage.
-The river at Danville is forecast to crest one foot below flood stage late today or tomorrow.
-At Sunbury, a crest just below flood stage is expected Friday morning.
PPL reports, about 1000 outages in the middle portion of the state. 33 in Northumberland County, and 990 Schuylkill County. They have nearly 20,000 outages in their entire service area.
