SHAMOKIN – A kitchen fire has displaced residents at a home in Shamokin. The fire started at 6:05 p.m. Wednesday at 717 N. Dewart Street. The fire started in the kitchen and extended into the walls.
The home was described as a multiple family dwelling, but it’s not known how many people are displaced. Firefighters from Shamokin and Coal Township responded to the blaze. No injuries were reported. (Ali Stevens)
