SUNBURY—An interfaith panel will host Sunbury Together, a listening event at the Degenstein Library on Monday night. Leaders of three different faiths will lead a discussion on how to make Sunbury better. Rabbi Nina Mandel of Congregation Beth El says religious organizations need to address the issues facing their city. “Certainly Sunbury is a strong, faith-based community, so why not be involved in the conversation, doing what we can to build bridges between all the people who are doing these good works?”
Pastor Rich Fangmann of Zion Lutheran Church says this meeting is for all citizens of Sunbury to listen and give their own input. “This is an opportunity to listen to one another and to share with one another what it means to live in Sunbury and what gifts and talents we see and what needs are there that we can work together on.” Sunbury Together starts at 7 pm Monday night and will be held at the Degenstein Library on Fifth Street in Sunbury.
