SUNBURY – A portion of Reagan Street in Sunbury will reopen to traffic by the end of next month. Sunbury City Councilman Jim Eister says the road is expected to reopen by August 31, and it could be sooner than that. Eister says crews began paving Wednesday.
The one million dollar Reagan Street project has consisted of installing new sewer and stormwater management lines.
Eister says the next phase of the project will take place on Susquehanna Avenue and a portion of Packer Street. That work is set to begin next spring, with bids for the project contract going out between this fall and winter.
