MOUNT CARMEL – Police a woman known the community for fundraising for her daughter, has been busted for DUI alcohol and marijuana , hit and run, while pregnant with twins.
Reports indicate, Jennifer Garzelli left a bar in March, hit several houses and cars. She was captured near her home, unable to stand and police say she admitted consuming a large amount of alcohol.
Police say she was pregnant with twins at the time of the crash, she had a blood alcohol level about three times the legal limit for driving. She is charged with DUI, recklessly endangering another person and numbers other counts.
Witnesses say Garzelli is known in the community after several fundraisers for her ailing daughter.
