MIFFLINBURG – Officials with the National Weather Service have confirmed a tornado touched down in Union County Thursday night. It was classified as an EF1. The twister hit just after 6 p.m. at the intersection of Route 304 and Red Ridge Road near the village of Dice, south of Mifflinburg.
Heavy rains fell across the area and in Millmont, three to four inches of rain was reported. Significant wind damage was also reported in that area along with minor flash flooding. You can see photos of the damage online at wkok.com. (Ali Stevens)
