Police Chief Retires in Sunbury

SUNBURY – Sunbury Police Chief Brad Hare has retired from the department.  The Daily Item reports he five member city council unanimously accepted Hare’s retirement without comment or discussion.  Hare has not been available since August 31^st, when Mayor Josh Brosious made Sgt. Travis Bremigen acting chief.  Brosious told the Daily Item he hopes to have a decision on a new chief by the next council meeting on October 23^rd.
