WATSONTOWN – Police ran after a wanted man, fleeing on foot through the Watsontown Community yard sales Saturday, but the suspect got away. About 1pm, they say 30-year-old Gregory Garverick, of the Muncy/Hughsville area, was spotted at Main and First Streets. He took off on foot as Watsontown police attempted to arrest him.
Garverick ran through backyards and behind businesses and got away. Police say there was risk to the public and police as he ran through the thousands of people that were there for the event in Watsontown.
He is still missing…Police tell us that Garverick is a 5’11” white male who weighs approximately 160 pounds. He was last seen with a goatee.
Police tell us that Garverick will be also be charged with resisting arrest and flight to avoid apprehension.
